How are reunion dues calculated for members?

Updated over 4 months ago

On Reyoonite, reunion dues are personalized. Every member only pays for the events and activities they (and their family) plan to attend. There’s no flat fee unless the committee sets one — so what you owe is based entirely on your own participation.

1. Dues Are Based on What You Opt Into

As a member, you’ll see a full list of reunion events and activities. Some may be marked required (like the main reunion dinner), while others are optional (like a zipline tour or brunch outing).

You can opt in or out of optional activities — and your dues update automatically based on what you choose.

Example:

  • You opt in to 2 optional activities at $25 each

  • You're automatically opted into the mandatory main event at $100

  • You opt out of the remaining 4 activities so $0 for you

  • Your total dues = $150

2. Prices Are Set by the Committee

Each event or activity has a price assigned by the committee, which may include:

  • Vendor costs (e.g. catering, rentals, transportation)

  • Group expenses (e.g. meals, decorations)

Committees may vary prices by:

  • Age group (e.g. kids under 5 are free)

  • Location (e.g. locals host and travels are free)

  • Overrides (e.g. disabilities)

3. Family Member Participation Affects Your Total

If you’ve added family members under your account (like kids or a spouse), your dues reflect everyone in your group. For each person, you can:

  • Choose which events they’ll attend

  • See their individual costs

  • Pay once for the whole group

Each family member gets their own line item, so you always know what you’re paying for.

4. You Can See a Full Breakdown Before You Pay

Your personalized dues page shows:

  • Due dates and payment history

  • Each event/activity you opted into

  • The per-person cost for you and your family

  • Optional donations or financial support for family

  • The total amount due

This makes payments transparent, flexible, and easy to manage.

5. You Can Donate, Sponsor, or Get Help

Reyoonite supports group generosity. On your dues page, you can:

  • Donate extra to help cover someone else’s cost

  • Sponsor a specific family member

  • Sponsor an entire event/activity for all members or just partial

  • Request financial assistance if needed

The committee will review sponsorship requests privately and confidentially.
